Who Is Eligible For A Critical Skill Work Permit?

To be eligible for a Critical Skill Work Permit, you must meet the following criteria:

· You must have a job offer from an employer who is registered with Revenue, trading in Ireland, and registered with the Companies Registration Office.

·  You must be directly employed and paid by your employer in Ireland. Job offers from recruitment agencies and other intermediaries are not acceptable.

·  You must have a job offer for at least two years.

·  You must have a relevant qualification, skills, and experience for the job.

·  You must have an annual salary of at least €38,000 for occupations on the Critical Skills Occupation List, or €64,000 for occupations that are not on the list of ineligible occupations.


How to Apply For a Critical Skill Work Permit?

You can apply for a Critical Skill Work Permit online through the Employment Permits Online System (EPOS). You can apply yourself or your employer can apply on your behalf. You will need to provide the following documents:

·         A Completed Application Form

·         A Copy Of Your Passport

·         A Copy Of Your CV

·         A Copy Of Your Qualification Certificates

·         A Copy Of Your Job Offer Letter

·         A Copy Of Your Contract Of Employment

You can check the status of your application online or contact the Employment Permits Section of DETE. The processing time for a Critical Skill Work Permit is usually four to six weeks.
